Things to Do in Tusheti
Tusheti is Georgia's most remote inhabited region, cut off by snow for most of the year and reachable only in summer via the Abano Pass, a gravel switchback road with a reputation as one of the most dangerous in the country โ the drive alone takes six to seven hours from Tbilisi. Villages like Omalo, Dartlo and Shenako, built from stone defensive towers, sit largely unchanged, and the region rewards multi-day hiking trips far more than a single-day visit.
