Things to Do in Lagodekhi

Lagodekhi sits at Georgia's far eastern edge, around two and a half to three hours from Tbilisi against the Dagestan and Azerbaijan borders, and is built almost entirely around its national park โ€” one of the country's oldest protected areas, with waymarked trails climbing through beech forest to alpine lakes and meadows. It's a hiking destination rather than a sightseeing one: the short trails run two to four hours, the longer ones to the lakes need a full day and a real level of fitness.
