Things to Do in Tbilisi

Georgia's capital sits in a bend of the Mtkvari river, its Old Town a tangle of balconied houses, sulfur bathhouses and the Narikala fortress above, reachable by cable car from Rike Park. Most visitors base themselves here for the whole trip and use Tbilisi as the jumping-off point for Mtskheta, Kazbegi and Kakheti rather than as a single day's sightseeing. Abanotubani's bathhouses, the Dry Bridge flea market and a walk down Rustaveli Avenue cover most of what the centre itself has to offer.
