Things to Do in Borjomi

Borjomi, about two and a half hours from Tbilisi, is best known outside Georgia for the naturally carbonated mineral water bottled here and sold across the former Soviet Union; inside town, the Mineral Water Park lets you drink it straight from the source, sulphurous taste and all. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, one of Europe's largest protected areas, starts right at the edge of town and offers hiking and horseback routes with almost no other visitors on them.
