Things to Do in Poti

Poti is Georgia's main commercial port, of more interest for what's around it than the city itself: Kolkheti National Park's wetlands and Lake Paliastomi sit right on its edge, reachable by boat for birdwatching among the reed beds and floating vegetation. Most visitors pass through en route between Batumi and Zugdidi rather than staying, and treat the wetlands as a half-day detour.
