Things to Do in Sighnaghi

Sighnaghi is a walled hill town in Kakheti about two hours from Tbilisi, small enough to cover on foot in an afternoon, with its restored 18th-century fortifications giving long views over the Alazani Valley toward the Caucasus. Bodbe Monastery, where St Nino is buried, sits just outside town and is usually visited together with it. The town markets itself as Georgia's 'City of Love' for its 24-hour registry office, but the wine and the views are the actual reasons to come.
